Aims
Journal of Geography and Environmental Hazards is an Iranian interdisciplinary research journal that highlights issues of Geography such as geographic risk degree of regions, human exposure to risk, vulnerability, awareness, responses to disasters and planning to adjust the effect of environmental hazards. .
Also, the role of hazards in affecting development process particularly in developing countries and issues of efficiency, social justice and sustainability are also discussed in the journal.

This journal welcomes high-quality Original, Research articles, Review articles, short paper, Case study, Methodology, Applied articles on the following themes:
- 1. Geological and Geomorphological Hazards: Earthquakes, soil liquefaction, volcanic eruptions, lahars, tsunamis, land subsidence, landslides, rock slides,solifluction, mud flows, rockfalls, debris flows, avalanches, coastal erosion, water erosion, wind erosion, sand dune displacement, salt weathering.
- 2. Hydrological-Geomorphological Hazards: Floods, inundation, sea-level fluctuations, saltwater intrusion, desertification, aridity.
- 3. Climatic and Atmospheric Hazards: Climate change, dust storms, firestorms, blizzards, tornadoes, climatic extremes, droughts, severe frost, heatwaves, fog, lightning, cosmic radiation, ultraviolet radiation.
- 4. Biophysical and Biological Hazards: Natural forest fires, agricultural frosts, allergies, viruses, influenza, food poisoning, epidemics, specific diseases such as cancer, plant diseases and pests, insect infestations.
- 5. Technological Hazards: Air, soil, and water pollution, industrial pollution, chemical pollution, noise pollution, atomic radiation, electronic waste, nuclear waste, dam failures, transportation accidents, fires, chemical spills.
