The geological position of Iran has caused this country to have a high seismic potential. Considering that earthquakes are associated with many human and financial losses and the study in this field is very important, in this research, the temporal and spatial analysis of earthquakes that occurred in Iran has been discussed. This research is based on quantitative methods. The most important data of the research is the SRTM 30-meter high digital layer, the digital layer of Iran's faults, as well as information about the epicenter of earthquakes recorded in Iran during the years 1286 to 1402 (1907 to 2023). It is prepared from the USGS website. The most important research tools are ArcGIS and SPSS. According to the intended goals, in this research, the spatial analysis and then the time analysis of the earthquakes that have occurred have been discussed. According to the results, during the studied time period, 7139 earthquakes with a magnitude greater than 3 Richter were recorded in Iran, of which 12 earthquakes were greater than 7 on the Richter scale (according to this, approximately once every 10 years We have witnessed an earthquake measuring more than 7 on the Richter scale in Iran. The results of the spatial analysis of the earthquakes that have occurred have shown that in terms of quantity and the number of earthquake foci, the southwestern regions of the country have the highest seismic potential, but in terms of high-magnitude earthquakes 7 Richter, the eastern and northwestern regions of the country have the highest potential.
